Carpenter Farms Pumpkins
Carpenter Farms consists of 189 acres and became a seasonal agri-tourism business with a Corn Maze, Indoor Straw Maze, Hay Rides, Farm Animal Petting Zoo and much more. Carpenter Farms currently grow 35 acres of 60 different varieties of Pumpkins, Squash and Gourds.
Fall Activities:
Hay Rides:
Hayrides offer a 20 minute ride around the farm to see straw critters that are exclusive to the hayride. A family member accompanies the hayride during the tour to talk about the history of our farm, the crops that we grow, and about agriculture in general. The ride gives unique insight into our farm and also allows riders to interact and ask questions.
Corn Maze:
Our corn maze covers about 9 acres and will take approximately 30 minutes to an hour to complete. The maze, which we call a mystery corn maze, has 5 colored placards hidden throughout. The goal is to find all of the placards to collect clues in order to come up with our mystery word of the week.
Corn Box:
The corn box is just like a sand box, but filled with corn! Our large corn can, for kids age 10 and under, is filled with sand box toys including buckets, trucks, and shovels for kids to play with. Our smaller corn box, for children 2 years and younger, is a toddler friendly version of the corn can.
Straw Maze:
The straw maze is a free activity created for our younger visitors during pumpkin season. The maze is located indoors in our new barn and is open during our normal business hours no matter what the weather is.
Straw Pit:
The straw pit is a 30 foot x 30 foot indoor area that is filled with straw that includes a rope swing, slide, tunnel, and straw bales for building forts.
Fall Decorations:
We offer a wide selection of traditional as well as unique fall decorations. We grow over 60 different varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds that range from all sizes of pumpkins for carving or painting to decorative gourds and edible squash. All pumpkins are pre-picked and are priced by size, currently we do not offer any u-pick pumpkins.
Farm Animals:
We have a petting area full of different types of farm animals, such as: Miniature donkeys, goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, ducks, calves and more.
Barnyard Buddies:
Our friendly barnyard buddies include cows, goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and a donkey for visitors to pet and interact with. Visiting with our animals is a free activity.
Photography:
We offer many places and displays for photos to be taken. From our fall face-in-the-hole art work to our famous group photo taking spot with the year spelled out in pumpkins, there are many places to document the memories being made on the farm.
Pony Rides:
Free pony rides are offered on the weekends during the month of October. Pony rides are given by our friends from TD Pony Express.
